Tower of Tests(DVM)

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Functions

  • Similar to Ancient Tower, where there are 5 towers, each corresponding to an element. You can only use that element in that Tower. At first, you can only do the first 50 floors of each Tower, but after completing any 200 floors, you will unlock the remaining 50 floors.
  • Due to your limited selection, the Tower of Tests can be much harder than the Ancient Tower.
  • However, it gives out a lot of great rewards, so don't neglect them!
  • When you finish F50 of all Towers, you get a Legendary Egg and at F100 of every Tower, a Mythical Egg awaits you.

Team Formation

  • Although building a team is similar to Ancient Tower, you are limited in what you can use, which can make team building difficult.
  • The good news is that there are a lot of Rare dragons that can help you out!
  • In this section I will make mention of the Rare dragons you can use if you are short on better alternatives. Of course, if you have better dragons, you may not need to resort to these suggestions at all!
  • In most cases, one or two dragons that have reached 6 stars can be enough to make it to F50, especially if one of them is an attacker and the other is a healer or other useful support. However, due to the fact that you can only use one element, it can be very difficult to make it to F50, even moreso if you do not have good runes enhanced to +12 or +15.
  • Thus, advancing through Tower can be a big gold investment. So you may only wish to invest in it when you already have a satisfactory Colosseum team, a good all-round Clan Dungeon team, and can consistently farm Rune Guardian and/or Ancient Ruins. This is so that you are not missing out on other essential content, and so you can farm for necessary resources.
  • For getting to F50, I suggest having at least one of your attackers at 6-stars (preferably a single-target or small area-of-effect attacker) and your supports at least 5-stars. All should have decent runes (right colour, main stat, 5-stars or above for slots 2, 4, and 6, and +12 enhance or higher).
  • For getting to F100, you will need a properly built team. Your attackers and healer(s) should be ranked up to 6-stars. Enhancement and skill ups will help greatly. You might also wish to make use of Ancient Runes such as Survival and Meditation.

Fire Tower

  1. Fire Catsgon is an excellent attacker that passively boosts both its own ATK Speed and ATK. If it is max skilled, then it only needs 1 mana to use its skill, too.
  2. Fire Serpent deals high damage to targets with over 80% HP, making it great for getting enemies down quickly. It targets 2 opponents, so you may wish to use either of Catsgon or Serpent, and use another dragon as a multi-target attacker.
  3. Fire Optatio is one such great multi-target attacker. Whenever it kills an enemy, it immediately attacks another, which can cause a chain reaction during earlier floors or to clear mobs.
  4. Optatio and Catsgon or Optation and Serpent don't synergise very well due to their different mana costs, but Lambgon as a mana battery will still work well if you use other 2-mana-cost dragons as healers and supports.
  5. Alternatively, you could use Fire Alien, who can provide mana if his ATK Speed is boosted sufficiently, and he turns into a zombie when he dies. You can pair him with Fire Witch to extend his zombie duration. He also debuffs DEF, extremely helpful for dealing more damage.
  6. Fire Hurricane is a bulky support that can apply DOT to help wear down the boss.
  7. Fire Littio is an ATK-based healer which can heal more if you boost its ATK Speed stat. Fire Lady heals based on DEF, making her a good bulky support. Fire Fairy is a popular healer in the Fire Tower as well, although its silence will likely go to waste.

Water Tower

  1. Water Spine is a great attacker who you might even use in other content. He targets 6 opponents at one time, and deals more damage when his damage reflection skill is active. He also has a passive skill that can make him attack more often.
  2. Catsgon is also a good attack that targets one opponent. It is considered one of the better Cats thanks to the ability to boost his power when he lands a Critical Hit, and his 2x self ATK buff.
  3. You may have a Water Wonder built for Adventure, and he works excellently in Tower too. Higher floors can take up more time, though, so you might wish to put him in the back instead of the front so that he doesn't turn into zombie too quickly. This formation works well with Water Witch, who extends buffs at the rear.
  4. Water Clown is another Heroic dragon who can work very well. You can pair Clown and Spine, and use a support such as Pharaoh or Hurricane, who give ATK Speed boosts. They also work well because they provide mana, which you would need in additional supply for a 3-mana-cost team if you can only use a mana battery such as Lambgon.
  5. For a healer, Water Lady is decent, although the Critical Evasion boost she gives is not ideal. Her passives are excellent, however. You can also use Water Marshmallow, who is a bulky healer that boosts ATK, or Water Fairy, who can provide protection against debuffs or status effects.

Earth Tower

  1. Earth Catsgon suffers from having the lowest base ATK of all the Cats. However, her drag skill is based on Critical DMG, which can work very well.
  2. Volt's drag skill also scales off Critical DMG. Unfortunately, he deals more damage to silenced enemies, which is not quite possible in Tower. He can still deal good damage, though. Optatio is another option for a multi-target attacker, although you need to be lucky in order to activate his 1.8x damage boost.
  3. Again, Lambgon is a good mana support, although it is somewhat incompatible with a Catsgon-Volt or Catsgon-Optatio duo.
  4. Earth Lady is semi-decent healer, although her Evasion boost is less than ideal. Fairy is better if you can obtain it.

Light Tower

  1. Light Catsgon is a good single-target attacker whose damage is based on its ATK Speed. It can boost its own ATK Speed and ATK, meaning it can function well without too much support.
  2. Light Spine is an excellent ATK Speed-based multi-target attacker, who boosts his own damage when his reflection ability is active. Volt is also an acceptable option, as he deals more damage the more buffs he has, which can be easily obtained through supports. He also turns into a zombie when he dies, making him a decent tank.
  3. If you use either Spine or Volt, you can use Light Lambgon, whose mana regeneration ability activates after the use of 3-mana-cost skills. It may be undesirable to use Lambgon if you only have one 3-mana-cost dragon, though, so you may wish to equip it with Meditation, or use a mana-supplying dragon such as Pharaoh. Light Pharaoh also provides shields and ATK buffs to dragons at the rear, making it an excellent support dragon.
  4. Another great support is Light Jaryong. A bulky Defence Type dragon who takes damage for 2 other dragons, and when max skilled, the cooldown of his shield activation goes down to 3 seconds. It also takes less damage from Dark dragons, and deals more damage to Dark dragons.
  5. Light Alien is a top-tier support that reduces cooldown of 2-mana-cost dragons and reduces mana cost for all dragons as well. A dragon that you will likely wish to build for other content besides, and will serve you well. He is also a good alternative for providing mana.
  6. For healers, Light Lady is a top choice and can be used in multiple content, so it is a good idea to build her for Tower as well. She boosts Critical Rate, and her passive alone can keep your dragons alive.

Dark Tower

  • Dark Catsgon can give itself 2x ATK increases, and deals more damage when it lands a Critical Hit. Dark Wonder is also an excellent choice with its zombie passive.
  • Dark Optatio can create a chain reaction with its passive that causes it to attack again immediately every time it eliminates an opponent. By far the most popular Rare multi-target attacker, however, is Dark Spine. Its damage scales off Critical DMG, meaning it can deal huge damage without needing to rely on too many buffs, and it targets 6 opponents.
  • If you use Dark Spine, you can make use of Dark Lambgon to provide mana.
  • Dark Lady is a good ATK Speed-based healer, or you may make use of Dark Fairy.
  • For support, Dark Jaryong is good and can soak up damage for your other dragons with its ability to take damage for 2 of its teammates.
