Closeness (DVM)
Closeness is a mechanic introduced in Dragon Village M. Along with boosting a dragon's base stats, it also has some benefits outside of battle, which include:
- Increased EXP and rewards gained from Exploration mode.
- Increased gift point recharge rate of deployed dragons in Dragon's Forest.
- Dragon dialogue in Dragon menu becomes more friendly.
In order to level up closeness, a dragon must be fed Closeness Fruit of the same element (i.e. an earth dragon can only eat earth fruit). The primary method of obtaining Closeness Fruit is to farm the Massive Tree Dungeon (the element dropped changes with the day of the week). Alternate methods include gathering fruit from the Table in Dragon's Forest and occasionally from Events.
Stats
With each closeness level gained, a dragon will receive a significant boost to their base stats (1,500 to HP, 25 to ATK, and 25 to DEF). This adds up to 13,500 HP, 225 ATK, and 225 DEF when maxed.
The table below shows the stat increase per closeness level, as well as the description given when a dragon reaches that level.
Leveling
The Closeness menu can be accessed through the Dragon menu. To feed a dragon, simply tap on the desired Closeness Fruit to increase the level percentage. Alternatively, holding down on the icon will rapid feed a dragon until the level meter reaches 100% or until the player runs out of fruit. The higher the tier of the fruit, the less is needed to reach the next level. For every two closeness levels gained, the amount of fruit required to level again increases.
The table below shows the amount of Closeness Fruit needed to reach the corresponding closeness level, as well as the percentage increase per fruit. (Note: Sometimes a fruit will randomly receive a percentage bonus, so the amount used might be less than the amount shown.)
